Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.
My passion is for helping families have healthy, happy, nourished children. Real food has a substantial impact on one’s health, especially in those important years prior to conception, during pregnancy, and postpartum. The health and wellbeing of both parents plays a significant role in conceiving healthy children. How we nurture ourselves and our growing babies can influence pregnancy and future health outcomes for our children and our children’s children. Not only does baby need adequate nutrition to thrive, but moms do, too! Full recovery from childbirth allows you to be the best parent possible and replenish your much-needed nutrient stores.
I help couples optimize their nutrition and start healthy families while finding joy in what they eat. My goal is to empower women to have enjoyable pregnancies and healthy babies while improving the health of this generation and generations to come.
Along with specializing in pre-conception, prenatal, and postpartum health, I am passionate about helping families transition babies to solid food and helping them set up an incredibly healthy foundation for their babies. I run First Foods Classes (in-person & virtually) to teach families about the most important foods to introduce to their babies, how to introduce food and allergens, and so much more. One of my favorite parts of the in-person class is helping parents get used to foods traditionally viewed in our culture as “weird,” and showing parents how to prepare them for their families since they are some of the most nutritious food for babies (and adults!).
When I’m not helping couples get pregnant and have healthy babies, you might find me eating dark chocolate on the beach or hiking a local trail. I live in San Diego, California with my husband, my two sons and our golden retriever (Scout).
